Easter Sunday only comes around once a year, and it’s one of the best opportunities to connect with those who don’t attend a church regularly. That being said, your congregation should be willing to use everything at your disposal to engage with your new visitors.

Below, we discuss 3 ways that you can proactively prepare your website for Easter follow-up.

Include Your Contact Information

We’ve said it many times before, and we will again: include your church’s contact information on your website.

Whether that’s a phone number, email address, or contact form (or preferably, all three!) you need to give visitors multiple ways to reach your leadership team.

Use Clear Calls to Action

Prepping for follow-up isn’t just about what’s on your website, it’s also about how you use it.

Calls-to-action can be buttons or text that tell users what actions you want them to take when they visit your site. This can include telling them to watch a livestream, contact a staff member, or view your church ministries. Here’s an example of a CTA on one of our client’s sites:

Calls-to-action like this encourage visitors to actually engage with your website rather than just using it passively.

    Create Connection Cards

Connection Cards are a classic way to collect information from visitors and encourage them to keep in touch with you. These can be a physical card, or you can create a QR code that takes visitors to an online form.

Ask for visitors’s names and their contact information. You can also ask them if there’s any ministries they want to hear more about or if they have any questions. This is an easy way to get the conversation started and find out how to contact them later.

Important: If you choose to be proactive and collect information directly from the visitors, make sure to follow up with them. If someone is willing to fill out your church’s connection card, they deserve to hear from you!
